Congestion surcharge

There is congestion in the port of Lagos in Nigeria, in the terminals of Apapa and Tincan Island.

The delays are the consequence of strike of truck drivers who are blocking the roads to and from the ports, a new customs system (NICIS2), new regulations from the Nigerian Port Authority and construction works around the port.

Several carriers have introduced a congestion surcharge.
