The Chinese government has extended the holiday period for the Chinese New Year. This measure should help to prevent further spread of the virus.
The Wuhan region remains closed until further notice. In the rest of China, they hope to resume on February 10th, although this information is changing on a daily basis.
Since this week, some of our agents are available via remote access, though be it on a limited basis.
Several carriers already announced blank sailings starting Westbound as from this week (6). This will subsequently affect Eastbound sailings as well.
The airfreight capacity is also limited. There are fewer flights to a limited number of airports in China.
All the above has a great impact on both import- and export shipments from and to China.
