Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB)

The Australian Department of Agriculture and Water Resources and the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industry have issued guidelines and instructions to prevent ‘brown marmorated stink bug’ (BMSB) infestations for the period from September 1st, 2018 up to April 30, 2019.

This stink bug can cause considerable damage to trees, crops and fruit. To prevent this, strict requirements are being introduced.
Both fumigation and heat treatment methods can be used to control this bug.

On the website of the Australian Government you can find information about the high risk goods, target risk countries and treatments.
